As Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park residents, we all share in the loss of our friend, Senator Linda Scheid. Linda served our community devotedly for three decades, and her absence will be felt for a long time. While I would never claim that I could fill Linda's shoes, I am asking for your support as I seek her Senate seat to continue the tradition of positive leadership for our community.
It's time to move Minnesota forward and stop squeezing the middle and working class. We should focus on our economy and grow jobs, allow small businesses to prosper, and insist on tax fairness for all. I am committed to quality education, access to affordable health care, ensuring safe neighborhoods, and improving our environment.
As a 20-year Brooklyn Center resident, long time community volunteer, registered nurse, union member, and involved parent, I understand the issues before our community and the challenges facing our schools, neighborhoods, and cities. I will be a coalition builder, good listener, and strong advocate for Senate District 46. It would be an honor to receive your support to continue the tradition of positive leadership for Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park--a tradition that follows in the footsteps of Darlene Luther, Linda Scheid, Debra Hilstrom, and Mike Nelson.
I ask for your support.
